The Purpose of a Baghouse

How do you feel about working in a dusty environment? You would probably prefer not to have to suffer through that. Breathing in dust can be harmful to you in many ways, in fact, some types of fine dust have been linked to respiratory issues and even lung cancer.

For businesses that generate a lot of dust, there is the option of using a baghouse for air filtration. A baghouse is usually a separate structure that sits near your main building. Air is pulled into a funnel shaped hopper and then goes on to travel through a series of filter bags. These bags will catch most of the particles that are in the air. After passing through the baghouse, the clean air can be circulated back into the building.

If you notice emissions coming out of your baghouse, this is an indication that the filter bags need to be cleaned, replaced or repaired to function properly.
