Cleanliness Can Be Rewarding

The first impression that a customer gets walking into your place of business is very important. While you might think this is a big deal only in food and hospitality services, it is actually true across the board. While you can’t be expected to keep the same level of cleanliness in a workshop as you would in a kitchen, keeping things neat and as clean as possible will make it so customers are more likely to return.

All your employees should be aware of the need to keep things tidy and clean around their work area. If this requires that you have them take 5-10 minutes at the end of their day to do some cleanup, it will be worth it.

When you look at your business from the outside, does it look like it would give a customer the confidence that you will take care of their belongings or provide services in a way that is worth spending money with you? While it might seem like time spent cleaning and tidying up is lost time to you as a business owner, but if it brings return business, it is definitely a worthwhile investment.
