What options do you have? Often, owners of apartment buildings and large office complexes will opt for a representative sampling when they need an inspection.
How is a representative sampling performed? Instead of inspecting the entire building, the inspector will be contracted to inspect a certain number of apartments or areas of the office complex that is decided upon by the client. After the inspection is completed, the samples should give a good idea of the overall state of the building.
If the inspection is done prior to a sale, both the seller and the buyer could sign off on the inspection, or they could choose to have separate inspections performed. If you are willing to spend the money and time on having a full inspection, that is always an option.
